Comprehensive Curriculum

Year 1: Foundations of Space and Aviation

Core Topics:Introduction to Space and Aviation: Basic concepts of space, planets, and the idea of flight. Storytelling and Exploration: Space and aviation-themed stories, creative play, and simple hands-on activities like paper airplanes. Basic STEM Skills: Simple counting, basic shapes, and introductory science concepts through fun experiments. Project: Create a solar system mobile and participate in a paper airplane contest.

Year 2: Exploring the Skies and Beyond

Understanding Flight: Basic principles of how things fly, introduction to different types of aircraft.Our Solar System: Introduction to planets, moons, and the sun.Hands-On Activities: Building simple gliders, crafting models of planets.Project: Build and launch a small foam glider, create a model of a favorite planet.

Year 3: Introduction to Space Missions and Aviation History

Core Topics:History of Space Exploration: Key milestones in space missions, introduction to astronauts. Pioneers of Aviation: The Wright Brothers, Amelia Earhart, and other aviation pioneers.STEM SkillsDevelopment: Simple engineering concepts, basic math related to flight (e.g., distance, speed). Project: Design a simple space mission with a team and create a timeline of aviation milestones.

Year 4: The Science of Space and Flight

Core Topics:The Science Behind Space Exploration: Gravity, orbits, and the basics of rocket science. Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics: How wings generate lift, the importance of aerodynamics.Intermediate STEM Skills: Introduction to measurement, basic physics concepts, and problem-solving activities.Project: Build a simple water rocket and participate in a group challenge to improve its design.

Year 5: Spacecraft and Aircraft Design

Core Topics:Introduction to Spacecraft: How spacecraft are designed and launched, different types of space vehicles. Aircraft Design Principles: Basic concepts in aircraft design, introduction to different types of aircraft.Hands-On Projects: Design and create simple models of spacecraft and aircraft. Project: Participate in a group project to design a simple spacecraft or aircraft model, focusing on creativity and functionality.

Year 6: Advanced Space Missions and Aviation Technologies

Core Topics:Advanced Space Missions: Understanding manned vs. unmanned missions, introduction to space stations. Modern Aviation Technologies: Introduction to drones, jet engines, and modern aviation technologies. Applied STEM Skills: Introduction to basic programming, intermediate physics (forces, motion), and technology integration. Project: Develop a simple coding project for a drone or a space mission simulator.

Age Group: 11-12 years (6th - 7th Grade)
 
Core Topics:
Space Colonization: Concepts of living in space, space habitats, and the challenges of space colonization.
 
Sustainable Aviation: Introduction to green technologies in aviation, the future of flight.

Advanced STEM Integration: Combining physics, technology, and engineering to solve real-world problems.

Project: Design a sustainable space habitat or an eco-friendly aircraft, considering real-world constraints and sustainability.

Year 8: Capstone Year - Innovation and Exploration

Age Group: 12-13 years (7th - 8th Grade)
